As my 12 days of freedom winds to a close (I work in a little over 2 hours), I lay here missing Massachusetts all over again.

I’m fortunate in that I only have tonight’s 12 hour shift and tomorrow’s 4 hour shift until my next weekend, but that doesn’t make me miss Mass any less.

I have lots of plans for my upcoming weekend, including working on my back patio. I want to make it enjoyable again for my kiddo. We kind of tore it apart last year when my old dog stopped being able to use the stairs to the yard. Now that he’s not with us, we can have it back again.

I also want to work on a present for my sister in law. I have plans to design and make a cross stitch for their wedding gift. I have my niece working as a secret agent to get me a good photo of the house and garden so I can incorporate it. I can’t wait.

Anyways, I need to be resting before my shift. So I’m off.
