I’ve officially hit the 22-pound mark, keeping up with my goal of losing at least 2 pounds per week! Honestly, I wasn’t sure I’d make it this week. Tracking my food has been a struggle, and my protein intake has been lower than it should be—mainly because I’ve been avoiding the grocery store. I mean, who actually wants to go shopping the week before Thanksgiving? Not me! But tomorrow morning (after work), I’m finally biting the bullet and heading out. Ugh, wish me luck!
This week was .. a lot. Yesterday, I was running on just one hour of sleep. ONE. By the end of my shift, I asked if I could leave an hour and a half early to catch up on rest. Thankfully, my supervisor agreed. I was out cold the second my head hit the pillow… until 45 minutes later, when Dais woke up. At that point, I’d had barely 2 hours of sleep in 48 hours, and I was a complete wreck.
But here’s where my husband swooped in like a superhero! He took the day off and came home by 8:30 AM to save the day. While he took over, I crashed hard and didn’t resurface until 1:30 PM. It was glorious, and I finally felt like a human again. I’m so thankful for him and his support—it really means the world.
That’s all for now. Time to get ready for my last 12-hour shift before the weekend! I can’t wait to relax and recharge.
