Georgetown Christmas Market

Today was… a lot—but in the best way possible.

The morning with us scrambling to get ready. It was our day to visit Georgetown, Colorado, for their annual Christmas Market!

We rolled into town around 11:00 AM, greeted by festive vibes and a lack of parking spaces. Eventually, we snagged a spot, and off we went to explore. I’ll be honest—the “market” wasn’t exactly bustling with vendors as I had imagined. There were a few, but tt felt more like a charming way to showcase the local shops. They were great. It was just difficult navigating them with a toddler in a crowd. Still, we made the most of it! I even found a Christmas ornament to commemorate our trip.

After browsing, we decided to spend some time at the park, and it ended up being one of the day’s highlights. Daisy and I ran around the slide and jungle gym while my husband had his fun flying the drone. Watching it zip through the sky was fascinating, and he even gave me a quick lesson on how to fly it myself! By the end of the day, we captured an awesome family photo with the drone.

Lunch was another win. We stumbled upon a gem of a restaurant, Cooper’s on the Creek, just outside the hustle of the event. Scoring a table was effortless, and the food was ‘licious (my daughter’s term for good food). I had the juiciest burger—exactly what I needed to refuel after wrangling a toddler all morning.

What made the day truly magical was Daisy. She was an absolute trooper—no tantrums! She did get close a couple of times, but we’ll consider it a win. Watching her explore and giggle in the chilly December sunshine made all the effort worth it.

Now, I’m officially running on fumes and ready to call it a night. Goodnight, all!
