Picking Up Where We Left off…

On Sunday, after my last post, we headed back into Disneyland. We started with a ride on Pinocchio’s Daring Journey. Then we attempted King Arthur’s Carousel, but unfortunately, it was shut down for “technical difficulties.” So instead, we hopped onto Storybook Land Canal Boats and enjoyed the charming miniature scenes.

Afterward, we stopped by Maurice’s Treats for a snack break. At that point, Daisy announced she was craving French fries, which led us to Tomorrowland. However, when we arrived at the Galactic Grill, we stumbled upon a Christmas dance party in full swing! Daisy practically leapt out of her stroller in excitement.

She dashed to the dance floor and completely forgot about the fries we’d just ordered. She insisted that both Angel and I join her, and she was having the time of her life—until she realized there wouldn’t be a chance to hug Goofy. That’s when the meltdown began. She ran off the dance floor and cried in a corner, inconsolable. We tried explaining, but she wasn’t ready to hear it. By the time she decided to return to the dance floor, the party had ended. Needless to say, she was devastated.

After calming her down, both Angel and Daisy were pretty much done for the day. We decided to head back to the hotel, which meant missing the fireworks again. I was disappointed, but it was the right call. There’s always next trip for the shows!

Yesterday was our “day off.” We started bright and early at Downtown Disney. Shopping in the morning was a breeze with no crowds, making it easy to explore the shops. Later, we made a quick trip to an outlet mall, which was… interesting. Shopping malls aren’t quite what they used to be, but we did enjoy some In-N-Out for lunch—always a win, and budget-friendly too.

We spent the afternoon relaxing at the hotel and returned to Downtown Disney in the evening. Daisy picked out a baby Figaro stuffed animal and has been playing the role of a doting mom ever since. I treated myself to a hoodie (still debating whether I’ll keep it), and we wrapped up the day.

This morning, we rope-dropped Monster’s Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! and then headed to WEB Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure. Daisy had befriended a Spider-Bot earlier, so she wasn’t thrilled about battling them during the ride. She also wasn’t a fan of the 3D glasses, so I spent most of the ride helping her with them while Angel claimed the high score. After that, we made our way to Daisy’s favorite—The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure. She absolutely lights up on that ride every time.

We decided to take it slow after that. Lunch was ordered while we browsed shops on Pixar Pier and visited my personal favorites, Rushin’ River Outfitters and Humphrey’s Service & Supplies. We didn’t buy anything but had fun exploring. Just as we finished, the wind picked up. It was relentless, so we found a sheltered spot to eat and keep Daisy out of the cold.

After lunch, we tried to make the most of the day, but the wind was just too much. We squeezed in one more ride on Monster’s Inc. before deciding to call it. Now we’re enjoying some quiet time back at the hotel—a nice way to recharge.
