    Tuesday + 1 Day Tally

    Tuesday + 1 Day Tally

So my doctor may have been right. This week I did lose more than two pounds, which is exactly what she was worried about. So I guess she has a point, I will be attempting to eat more. Walgreens is ticking me off with my prescription. I only get one box of injections a month Continue reading

Lunar Eclipse 2025 With a Side of Gunshots

Lunar Eclipse 2025 With a Side of Gunshots

I went out to see the eclipse. I was very sleepy, but I’m always mad at myself when I skip these things. So fuck it. You never know when it’s going to be your last eclipse. I watched it from the window initially. At no point did I see the red tint. That’s what I Continue reading

    Follow Up

So I went back to the doctor today. I’m not happy. My blood pressure is still low. They aren’t sure what is causing it. I have a blood pressure cuff coming tomorrow and she wants met to check my BP multiple times a day and keep track of it. We have a follow up meeting Continue reading

    Tuesday Tally

    Tuesday Tally

I almost forgot! I said I was going to start up my Tuesday updates and then spaced it all day. So it took me a couple of counts to figure out what week I am at but apparently it’s been 5 months/22 weeks. My progress has slowed down quite a bit, but I’m still very Continue reading

    It’s Been a While

    It’s Been a While

Two months, to be exact. It’s not that I haven’t wanted to write—I just haven’t had the words. But I’m here now, ready to catch you up on life and share some of the challenges I’ve faced when it comes to posting here or on social media. Rapid-Fire Updates Our Disney trip was fantastic—truly. It Continue reading

Picking Up Where We Left off…

Picking Up Where We Left off…

On Sunday, after my last post, we headed back into Disneyland. We started with a ride on Pinocchio’s Daring Journey. Then we attempted King Arthur’s Carousel, but unfortunately, it was shut down for “technical difficulties.” So instead, we hopped onto Storybook Land Canal Boats and enjoyed the charming miniature scenes. Afterward, we stopped by Maurice’s Continue reading

The Beginning of Daisy’s Birthday Adventure

The Beginning of Daisy’s Birthday Adventure

A Magical Start to Our Week in California What a week it’s been! After much debate, we decided to go for it and give our daughter one last free trip to Disneyland before she turns three later this month. And let me tell you—it’s been absolutely worth it! We kicked things off Friday by driving Continue reading

    That’s a Wrap.

    That’s a Wrap.

This will be my last post of 2024, a chance to reflect and wrap things up. This year, I faced the heaviest weight of my life, officially classified as obese. Since March, I’ve lost 44 pounds. From the start of my Zepbound journey in October, I’ve shed 33.2 pounds. I’m now less than 10 pounds Continue reading

    Full House at the Feeders!

Today brought plenty of excitement at the feeders! I hadn’t seen Scout in a few days, and as much as I try not to worry when that happens, it’s hard not to let my imagination run wild. I suspect she lives the furthest away, judging by the direction she bolts when one of the boys Continue reading

Blue Jay Corner and the Future

Blue Jay Corner and the Future

I’ve decided it’s time to dedicate a section of my blog to Blue Jay Corner, the hub of activity at my squirrel and bird feeders. When I first started, I didn’t think there would be much to write about. But in recent weeks, the drama and antics have been so entertaining that it feels silly Continue reading

About Me

I’m on a mission to live a healthier life– for myself and my daughter. In recent years I’ve struggled with my weight, anxiety and the tendency to avoid leaving the house when possible.

After years of attempting to solve my weight issue, I have been prescribed a weight-loss medication. Contrary to common misconceptions, this is not a simple solution. Lifestyle changes are a must and I am still working hard through home exercise and diet changes. I hope to show it’s possible to make these changes without a gym membership or any fad-gadgets.

I want to further my journey by facing my anxiety head-on and making an effort to enjoy the world again. I have found myself staying in at all costs. I rarely leave the house outside of going to work everyday. Things have got to change.

My hope is that my story inspires others to prioritize self-care and living life to the fullest.
