The first entry for the Something Important Project, the Ute Council Tree in Delta, Colorado

Today was an absolute blast.

We started out at an antique store. Something I’m always down to do but so rarely get to experience. I purchased a cross stitch I couldn’t let go. It wasn’t old and it was $10. I couldn’t walk away from someone’s hard work with it being priced so low.

Then we ended up at a restaurant that was delicious. I was bummed out that I didn’t get a chocolate shake though.

After that, we went to a lake house and paddled around on the lake. I took my kid with me after spending an hour with our feet in. She sat between me and her cousin, and eventually fell asleep. Her cousin and I then had a very scary encounter with a spider. There was screaming and cursing. But overall it was so much fun.

After we got home we sat around and told stories. It was a good time.

The lake was proof that nature does a body good.
