When I last left this blog, I mentioned that I thought I needed to step-up my game in trying to find myself again. I initially decided to take on a 30-day challenge for November to push myself into living more fully. Inspired by a prompt I found on Instagram, I turned to ChatGPT. After answering a series of questions about my schedule and goals, ChatGPT created a personalized plan. The results? A mixed bag of overly ambitious and doable ideas.
The main issue was that it didn’t quite align with my reality. My schedule is often packed, especially on 12-hour workdays, and some of the suggested activities were just too much. But a few suggestions really caught my eye, and I realized they could still work with some adjustments.
So here’s the new plan: I’ll try something a bit “out of the box” every day I’m off of work this month, blending some ideas from ChatGPT with my own. And on workdays, I’m challenging myself to crochet something each day. Even if I don’t reach that goal every day, setting it might push me to do more than usual.
Tomorrow, I’m going to map out a rough schedule for my days off so I can make the most of them. Once it’s ready, I’ll share it here. My goal is to reflect on each new experience by writing about it—it’s a way to see how these small challenges impact me over time.
On a completely unrelated note, I think everyone should own a bird feeder! Mine has become a surprising source of joy. Watching the jays and the squirrel compete for breakfast in the mornings has become a bit of a daily drama, and I look forward to it. If you don’t have one yet, I highly recommend getting one.
