Daily Prompt 15

What tattoo do you want and where would you put it?

I have a scar on my bicep that is slowly fading. I want to put a star or something around it to highlight and save the spot before it’s gone completely. It’s where my dog accidentally bit me. He was the other half of my soul and I haven’t felt the same since I lost him.

    What a perfect way to express your loss. There’s something about that non-verbal bond, that communication through their eyes, the unconditional love they have for us. I loss my dog last October. He was 4. I haven’t felt the same since I lost him, either. I think the tattoo around the fading scar would be a wonderful tribute to your dog.

      Oh gosh, only 4? That is incredibly sad. I’m so sorry your time with him was cut short.

      Losing a dog is a terrible experience. It happens and you’re just expected to move on. I lost my boy last May. He was a once in a lifetime dog. The pain is not easing up. It feels like it’s just getting easier to hide.

        No one really understands the grief. I feel the same way about my pup. We had such a connection, one that I’ve never experienced before.
