I finally broke through my weight-loss plateau — and I’m feeling so happy about it!
How did I do it? I cheated.
For one day, I let myself eat a little more and indulged in foods I don’t normally have. I didn’t go crazy, but since this trick has worked for me in the past, I thought, why not try again? It felt like it jump-started my progress, and now I’m feeling motivated all over again.
On the not-so-fun side, I still haven’t heard back from my doctor or cardiologist, even after trying to call. It’s beyond frustrating. I’ve had some random chest tightness lately, but it usually goes away quickly. I honestly don’t know if it’s something serious or just stress playing tricks on me.
In happier news, my dad is flying into town next week! I’m really excited. I swapped some shifts, so I have his entire stay off — plus an extra day beforehand. I’m hoping we can work on the backyard a bit and still make time for some fun outings too.
Work has been interesting this week. My agency started partnering with another agency to do sit-alongs. Last night, one of their employees sat with me for four hours, and then I went to work with him for four hours. It was super interesting — plus, I got to meet his dog! I learned so much about what he does. Honestly, the only downside was having to come back and finish my regular shift afterward.
