Calling All Readers: I Need Your Help! ðŸ“š

I’m on a mission this year to read a lot more — with the wildly ambitious goal of hitting 100 books by the end of the year (definitely unrealistic, especially since I only started a few days ago and have just five books under my belt — hey, aim high, right?).

One of my sub-goals is to diversify the books I’m reading. I’ve realized that, without meaning to, I tend to stick to authors who are mostly straight, white American women. Until now, I usually picked books based on the synopsis without giving much thought to the author’s background. Time to change that.

So here’s where you come in:
If you know a good book — or an amazing author — please send their name my way! Or, if you are an author, drop the title of one of your books in my comments! I mostly love novels, but I’m totally open to branching out into other genres like biographies. The only hard rule is that the book must be written in English (as a product of the spectacular U.S. education system and 15 mandatory years of Spanish lessons and classes, I only speak English — No joke).

Of course, I’m doing my own research, but I wanted to put this out into the universe and see what comes back. Even just one recommendation would mean the world to me. Thank you in advance — I seriously can’t wait to see what you suggest!

  1. Childhood’s End by Arthur C. Clarke. It’s an oldie but goodie.

      2. I just read the synopsis. I’m totally intrigued. And honestly surprised my dad hadn’t recommended it to me already. Seems right up his alley too.
